Mua Blusher - CandyFloss

Mua £1 Superdrug

This blusher is incredible for a £1 drug store bargain, It feels lovely on your skin and has the perfect pink tone to your face. I find you only need to add a little but to your cheek bones to brighten the skin. The one I purchased is called Candyfloss which is adorable, the quality for £1 is perfect and you cannot go wrong with having a few bits and bobs of MUA. I adore this make up brand as you get such amazing quality for little you pay. You can buy a lovely make up starter kit with Mua if you wanted to or just to add a few bits, you will not be disappointed with it. I have bought blusher from Mua before so I decided why not buy some more bits, whenever I got o Superdrug it is the first stop I make to see what I can find. It is a matte finish blusher which I love and the colour is perfect. Simple packaging but I just adore the Mua design and products, defiantly will be purchasing from Mua again as I have enjoyed using this blusher.

Topshop Wednesday Wish list!

So today I went into Topshop as I needed some new jeans, mine have been worn so much I thought I need to treat myself to some new ones. I adore the Leigh jeans, they are incredibly comfy and fit really well which is a bonus as I find it hard to find jeans that are comfy and I feel confident in to wear. I only wore leggings for a while in college until I found these amazing jeans, I have never worn any other style for a long time now. Really wish I could have all the colours in my wardrobe as I really need a wardrobe make over asap!
This woven two in one dress is super cute and would look amazing layered up even in the winter, I adore the two tonne contrast between grey and black. This style of dress is my favorite as I feel comfy and confident in wearing it. I know that Summer is nearly over but I adore those sunglasses, I really want some 90s round sunglasses asap or invest in some for holidays to come or even for next summer. I find it hard to choose sunglasses but when I tried on this style it suited my face shape and that made me happy but maybe my bank balance wont agree! As Summer is coming to an end I want to start looking into getting some boots, It takes me a while to settle on a pair I adore but Topshop usually have what I want. I adore these black boots and they will go with cute dresses and those amazing Leigh jeans. The swin suit I need in my life to inspire me to go swimming more often, I want to get back into it and tonne up which is the perfect excuse to buy this leopard print beauty, I have a feeling leopard print will be huge specially with Katy Perry's new album coming out soon ( Roar ) in which I am super excited by she is incrediable!!! :)

What would you buy from this?

Bank Holiday Monday Fete!

Third best sausage catcher and 99s!
second place in the pets category!
 Lovely sunny day!
 Happy pooch!
Tilly the pug <3 with Laura
 Doggies everywhere!
Walmer Bridge Village Fete

On bank holiday Monday we decided to go to a little village fete for the day and the sun was shining which was a bonus. It was lovely as it was a relaxed day walking around eating 99s and having a good day with some friends, Laura brought her pug Tilly to see my Bella. Tilly is such a cutie pie and so small as shes only a little pup still, Bella is nearly three in December how time flies! I entered my owl photograph into the pets category of the photography competition and got second place which was awesome, this was my first ever rosette. Later on in the day I decided to enter Bella into the best sausage catcher challenge as she was interested in the judge when she opened the tin of sausages, it went on for about half an hour until only 3 dogs were left in it and Bella dropped the sausage but got third place out of about 15 poochies. I am a very proud mommy, it is such a funny story though to remember as it was fun too. We had a great day out and it was relaxing, Above is a photograph of Bella with her rosette which is adorable, it made my family laugh and now they call her the sausage catcher! I love days like this it makes me happy to catch up with some friends and to spend time with my pooch who made me very proud as she was so well behaved all day.

99s, sunshine and my pooch such a lovely day out!
What did you do on Bank holiday Monday?

Sunday Pooch Face #3

I take Izabella to go see her doggy mommy, daddy and sister at my moms each week and this was taken a few weeks ago in the garden. I love that there is just black and white everywhere and sometimes you have no idea who is who when they are playing. You can see the chicken den in the background in which lives 14 chickens, they are pretty cool. Bella taught the other pooches to play Frisbee in which it shows on Bella's face how much fun she is having with all the doggies. Tomorrow we are going to a dog show on the park behind my moms house with Laura and her little cute pug Tilly, hoping for the weather to be decent and no rain so that we all can have a lovely day out watching the shows. This week seems to have been really stressful but I love coming home to my little dog and Rob which is great they are my family! We are just about to set off to go visit my mom and all the collies for a few days which Bella really enjoys to play and go crazy, by the time we head back to Robs house she is exhausted from her adventures.

Hope you enjoy this post each Sunday!

Must Have Of The Week!

How cute is this little skirt? That is all I may have to say about this really. I would love to wear this with a black vest or a light grey one. It is girly but there is something about it that just stands out to me. I love the light floral design which is a little paint like and the cute buttons running down the middle of the front of the skirt. You could dress this up with some wedges and a leather jacket to go to the cinema or a meal out or you can throw on some sandals and go to the beach/ holiday. I really would love to wear this and wish I could add this to my wardrobe, if I wasn't a broke graduate I would, so I thought  I could add it to my must have of the week so that some of you guys could enjoy the beautiful skirt. I love the shape of this skirt as I am really short and don't like to show too much skin, this would be a perfect cut at the knee for me which I quite like when I don't wear tights.

What do you think of my must have of the week?

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation: £8.99

This is my go to drug store foundation as it gives me the most perfect coverage on my face leaving a lovely base to add the rest of my make up. I find that it doesn't fade during the day in which in a foundation I want, it is not too thick to add to your skin but it has a perfect finish for me. I do wear the Wake me up concealer to hide dark eyes and spots, then I add some powder to finish off to set it. I do find the feel of the foundation light and lovely coverage over my skin. I buy the Ivory shade but there is 5 other choices for all skin types, it helps to brighten up your skin. This is what I love about Rimmel foundations, they do what they say on the tin. I want my skin to look bright and healthy so this foundation helps towards it, its light but feels soft and natural on the skin.

I like the added bits of shimmer to the foundation, in my opinion I think it helps to do what it says. I find that it feels great on my skin and brightens up my face. I feel that it gives me clear smooth coverage and since using this product I have seen a huge difference in my skin. I have dry skin at times and some foundations add to this by drying out my face, I find that this products does not do this which is a bonus. I have been using this foundation for almost a year now and always go back to using it as it is affordable and feels great. I tend to become bored of foundations fast but as I know this one will do the job I always want to have some in my make up bag in case I need it or my skin feels bad it gives me great coverage.
I would recommend using the Wake me up concealer too, I have been using that along side this for almost a year too and I find that it completes my base look. It hides any dark circles or spots that I want to hide and helps to create a perfect base to start adding my other bits of much needed everyday make up.

What are your thoughts on this foundation?

How To Start A Blog!

So I started my blog a year ago just before I went back to university to start my third year, I needed something to become creative with and as I read many other peoples blogs I thought to myself why not try it myself. Since starting my blog I have enjoyed every minute of it, you may get blogger block and have no idea what to blog about for day or even weeks but as long as you still enjoy it and put your all into every post it will be worth it for yourself and the people that read your blog. Having readers on your blog is amazing and the lovely comments you get from some loyal readers makes your day, I find that blogging is fun, exciting and I love to write and share my ideas and interests on a online diary. As long as you enjoy it go for it as I cannot see myself not typing  away on my blog!

1) First steps of starting a blog you need to choose a name, as this is what will make your blog unique to you. Sit down and grab a notebook, start to write down key words that describe you as a person or things that you love. The name will soon come to you and you then can start to create an identity of yourself through your blog. I chose Kemples as it was my nickname at college and it is very close to my surname Kempen, this blog did start as Milkshake Sprinkles but I am glad I made it more personal to me and my name.

2) I then would create an online identity to share all the amazing blog posts that you create by starting up a Facebook, Twitter and an email that people can get hold of you on if needs be. All this will help bring viewers to your blog and create interest in the work you do. Use hashtags at the end of each tweet that may relate to your post such as #bbloggers or #lbloggers.

3) Find out when all the Twitter blog chats are and have a good talk to fellow bloggers. I do this and learn some pretty awesome tips and tricks from some amazing people. Join in and have some fun with your blog.

4) The most important thing to do is blog about things that make you happy, never blog because you have to or about things you hate. Become positive and always have a honest opinion on products you like or may dislike. people will respect you for this as at the end of the day we all want to know what a product is really about.

5) Create a banner for you blog that represents you and your blog, I just recently updated mine and I adore it. Enjoy all aspects of your blog from the posts to the design.

6) share love on other peoples blogs, comment on their posts as blogging takes time and sharing the love is great!

7) Keep a diary to help you stay organised as I blogged while I was at university and working, planning was key for me and still is now that I have graduated. You can write down blog ideas for when you are stuck on what to write about.Schedule blog posts too in advance this helps to keep ontop of your university/ school / college work as education is important!

8) Let your reader get to know you, we all like to know a bit about the person behind all the text. Try having weekly posts about what you upload on Instagram or do a 25 facts about me post?

9) You don't have to have the best camera in the world, I studied photography at university so I have a 550D Canon but I also have a snappy camera that I can have in my hand bag at all times. I recommend this as you don't know when an opportunity will arise and you may want to blog about it. They are easy to use and have perfectly acceptable images, I use my little Canon for my blog posts. You can also take photographs in bulk and keep them on your desktop in a file ready to be reviewed and then you can go ahead and try out the product as it has been photographed looking brand new and untouched which is a must for me.

10) Come up with a goal of how much you may want to post a week, it is totally up to you as it is your space to work and become creative.

11) Always give credit to photographs or text you haven't done its always good to do so! I would also always link to the products you have reviewed as it is easier for your readers to find things and know where to find it.

12) BlogLovin is also great to have all your favorite blogs in groups and if you want follow the blogs on GF.

13) If you mention any product, brand or person in your posts give them a tweet, you may get a re tweet and this gets more of an audience to see your work.

14) Always welcome feedback as it is great to have and it can only help you get better.

15) most importantly enjoy your blog!

Wednesday Outfit Wishlist!

One / Two / Three / Four / Five  All from Topshop

I do my Wednesday outfit wish list post every week as I enjoy to pick out key pieces and create outfits that I would love to wear. This outfit I adore the shoes, please someone buy me those shoes as they are gorgeous! I would pair them with this statement turquoise play suit which would stand out in a crowd but then add key pieces such as the black heeled chelsea boots and black sunglasses. I adore the heart necklace as it brings back the girly pieces that are subtle but still add something special to the outfit. I am loving floral headbands at the moment and would love to get my hands on this one, it brings in a little more colour to this outfit, if you are going to any festivals this year buy a floral head band it is just a must have! Swop the boots for some wellies for a perfect festival look or some sandals for a stroll on the beach.

What do you think of this outfit?
Would you wear it?

Bourjois Healthy Balance Compact Powder.

Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder £8.49

This setting powder I decided to buy it because there was a 3 for 2 on all Bourjois products and as I really needed a new powder I thought why not try it. I must say it has really impressed me especially the smell, it has a lovely fruity fresh smell to it as you apply it on your face. The same with the foundation which smells incredible, I will be reviewing the foundation soon too. This powder has a 10 hour lasting matte complexion and has a mirror attached to the lid which comes in handy if you are on the go and want to touch up your makeup a little. I adore the packaging and the product itself, I enjoy using this powder and would defiantly want to re purchase it in the future.

I got mine in vanille shade but there is 3 others to choose from, I think that it leaves my skin feeling great and it is perfectly light but sets my make up well to last for the entire day. I usually use Rimmel powders but thought I would try a different brand this time and I am really impressed as the Rimmel ones never let me down so I was hoping that this wouldn't disappoint but it is honestly perfect!

This product works perfectly to reduce shine and keep the skin looking fresh, I enjoy using it due to this fact as it feels light and lasts me all day. I have yet to top it up during the day but I still keep it handy in my bag. I would like it to have a sponge inside it as I take it everywhere with me but I use Real technique brushes and I just pop them in my handbag.

Overall it feels amazing on the skin and it lasts to keep my make up in place, I love the smell of it and it helps to keep your skin in good condition. I would defiantly buy this again and recommend it as I have dry skin it helps to keep it looking fresh and glowing!

Have you tried this product?
What are your thoughts on it?

Must Have Of The Week!

I was browsing the Miss Selfridge website and looking at all the beautiful clothes that I just really want in my wardrobe as I am finding mine a little boring at the moment, I am sure we all go through this and just want to re start it all over again! I found this little gem and thought it would be such a beautiful easy dress to wear out to a meal with the family or even paired with some cute boots to a festival. I just love the lace detail to which makes it really soft and girly, I would also love this dress in black but you can only get it in coral. Coral is such a beautiful colour for Summer I think, I have been wearing coral on my names a lot this Summer. I just think this is an easy to wear dress that can suit many occasions this Summer. It can be dressed up and down by just adding some wedges for the night or some gladiator sandals for the day strolling around a beautiful town or relaxing on the beach!

What do you think of this dress?

Paperchase Wish List

One / Two / Three / Four / Five / Six

My Wednesday posts tend to be my wishlists of somethings that I would buy or use for certain events. This one is based on a back to school kit that I would buy ready for the new year, as I am not going back to education yet I can use these things for my office or keep the cute notepads in my bag. I adore anything with an animal on it that's why I chose the fox design for the notepad and diary. I love how cute and girly it is and in the new school year I love to buy new stationary to help me become motivated for a new start each term. I adore the letter holder in which I would store all my notes and briefs given to me so I don't miss place them! As well as all the other stationary you defiantly need highlighters to keep up with all the important bits that you have read and why not have then as cute as these little ones as well as the cute cat stapler.
As well as new stationary you may want to start the year with a brand new Iphone case, I chose the strawberry design as it is my favorite smell/ fruit and think it is super cute with the baby blue case.

What do you buy for your new year?
Do you like any of these products? :)

Sunday Pooch Face #1

Bella and her sister Nevada

I am hoping to post a cute picture every week on a Sunday about my pooch Izabella. I just adore her and she is a huge part of my life and family, she is just the most loving little girly ever and I love her so much. I want her to be part of my blog posts each week as I do post a lot of pictures of her on Instagram too. I am forever thinking omg that's so cute and taking a photo of her! She is 3 in December, how time flies!
I got Bella from my mom's dog Jessica and instantly starting to beg my boyfriend to see if we could keep her because I just could not let her go, she was just so cute! Each night when my mom went to bed I would steal Bella for a little cuddle in my room for a hour, this may explain why I got so attached to her but at the time I named her Panda. This was going to be her name but someone said it reminded them of Pandora's box and that it might be bad luck so I had to re think her name, I do think she suits Bella a lot. I am so happy that we got to keep her and that she is part of my life! I just adore this little cutie pie so much!

Barry M Gelly - Blood Orange

Gelly Nail Paint: Barry M £3.99
Hi Shine Nails

Blood Orange 327 - Beautiful colour.

To start with I am a Barry M fan but these nail polishes are incredible, they are easy to apply and you have a good range of colours to choose from. The shine is beautiful and it stays on your nails for at least 4 days without signs of chipping and I have been to the gym. I apply a clear base coat before I apply this and it glides on to the nail perfectly. I enjoy using these as I am very impatient with my nails even though I like to keep them in good condition and shape. I only had to apply one coat of this which was great as with some other nail polishes that need more than one coat sometimes I end up messing them up before I have even got them to dry nicely. I like the hi shine as it gives the effect of having them done at the salon due to the quality. As promised the shine is beautiful and I would go and purchase more of these in all the colours if I could. This is my new favorite go to nail polished for this Summer as it looks amazing as well as the quality, I work in retail and never want my nails to look bad or chipped and with this nail polish you honestly can not go wrong. I have had a few compliments about my nails the past few days and defiantly want to get some more colours in this brand. Well done Barry M I adore this product so much and highly recommend it!

Whats In My Bedroom - Part One

So I thought I would try a different post today and do a little tag about whats in my room, I only took a few photographs as I am still decorating it a little but here are a few of my favorite pieces so far. My room is a baby blue colour which I adore and I have a white carpet that drives me mad to keep clean due to the fact at my moms she has 3 border collies and I have Izabell and dog hair stands out so bad! I love having light blue floral duvet cover to match my wall colours and cute cushions on my bed. I have a lot of owl related gifts around my room from when I did a bird of prey project at university for my third year project, I do love owls though so it is all good. I have a big mirror on my window at the moment as I am waiting on a dressing table to match it which will be fun to decorate with all my make up pieces and candles! I have recently stuck a few cute Instagram prints onto this mirror of me, Rob and Bella, looking to invest in a pin board soon! I have so many ideas on what I want to do to decorate my room but I do love it as it is my favorite colour and I have a huge bed that is super comfy! ( Photo on Instagram: abikempen)

I love to keep cards that I get from fiends and family so you can see a few around my room from the special people in my life and I have put out all my DVDs I bought when I was about 16. I do love a good girly film as well as re watching Harry Potter, I am a huge Harry Potter fan! Harry Potter studios is on my list of things to do before the end of 2013.

I haven't fully shown my new addition to my animal family on my blog, near my window/ door I have a shelf with a cute little blue budgie in a cage and his name is Ollie. I got him 3 weeks ago and he sings and tweets all day long. He is such a cutie pie and I adore him!

Due to the fact I studied photography at university I have a lot of photography related magazines and Source, BJP are the new editions to my collection that I am reading at the moment!

I have a lot of teddies, owls and photographs around my room which I love, I am wanting to get more candles and cute ornaments for my room soon as it is only half done with all my sentimental pieces in there.
Hoping to do a bedroom decoration wish list soon on here so keep an eye out for that!
Bella looks so happy to be in that photo!

Hope you enjoyed a little sneak peak to what I love!

Wednesday Outfit Wish List - Boohoo

One / Two / Three / Four / Five

My Wednesday outfit wish list. £97

I have been meaning to buy a play suit for this Summer but hadn't found a perfect one till now. I adore the daisy print of this play suit and the lace cut out detail on the back which makes it different and would stand out. You could wear this play suit during the day for a BBQ or at night paired with some lovely wedges or boots. I chose two pairs of shoes that I would wear with the play suit, one is the t bar sandals and the second one is the heel boots in which you could make it more of an outfit to go out in. I adore the t bar sandals and really want them, might have to get some if the weather stays the way it is at the moment.

For days out you may want a bag that can hold your camera and all your essentials, the rucksack would do the job as it will look cool with the outfit as well as being able to bring all your essentials with you. This could work well at a festival this Summer?

For the accessories I would keep them simple and have some funky sunglasses to go with the outfit or even a cool floral headband!

OOTD - Boohoo & Matalan

BBQ Outfit:
Top: matalan
Midi Skirt: Boohoo £6
Ring: Pandora
Bracelet: Graduation Present :)

So today I have been at my moms house having a little cute dinner together with all the doggies and I  brought Izabella along with me to see her doggy mommy. I am not the best at outfit posts I think because I am still a skint graduate really, not going to lie but I want to show my outfits that I like wearing now and then and then hopefully get better at it. because I adore cute outfits and things! What do you guys think? This was taken in my garden and the background is the home of 16 chickens!

I got my t-shirt a while ago now for last Summer to go to the beach for my 21st birthday but I linked a similar top that you could wear with the Boohoo midi dress. I love slogan tops and you can pick up some lovely ones from Boohoo, Matalan and Primark!  I adore wearing skirts like this because they are easy to wear with Vans and nice easy tops but still look a little dressed up. I added in the few bits of jewelry that I wore today in as well, bracelet from my friend Liz for graduating with a degree in Photography and my ring I got from Pandora to remind me I am really lucky to have Rob and Bella due to the fact last year I was in two car accidents and they completely frightened me and I didn't want to drive as well as suffering from panic attacks in public places. I am a lot better this year and have managed to become myself again due to enjoying my last year at university and having my friends and Rob around me so this cute heart ring reminds me how far I have come and how lucky I am..

My make up is how I would wear it nearly everyday but I look tad pale due to it being taken outside oops!
I usually wear Bourjois foundation, Sleek blusher ( Review), Bourjois bronzer, Rimmel on my lips (Review) and my Mua eye shadow palette ( Review) I adore Rimmel make up and my eyeliner, mascara and liquid eyeliner all from Rimmel too.

I love to wear this outfit with a black leather jacket or cardigan and to accessorize it more I would wear my bowler hat in which I love to wear to exhibitions etc!

What do you guys think?
Boohoo is my favorite for perfect outfits!
I will get better at these posts promise :)
Kind of a outfit / lifestyle post! <3

Sleek Blusher

 Sleek Blusher Pomegranate
 Mirror inside!
Beautiful matte finish and highly pigmented!
 Sleek Blusher: £4.49 SuperDrug
Pomegranate

This is one of my first Sleek purchases and I was so excited to try them out as I have heard so many good reviews on the products. I am really pleased by this product as it gives a lovely highly pigmented shade to your cheeks and brightens up the face. I used up my blusher from The Body Shop and thought I might as well try out a new blusher. This blusher is £4.49 at Superdrug and I decided to buy a Sleek eye shadow palette too which I am excited to review and try!

I love the matte finish of this blusher as it gives a lovely finish to your cheek bones, you don't need to use too much as it is highly pigmented but it gives my face a little bit of brightness to it which I like. It is the first time I have used Sleek but I will defiantly be wanting some more products by them as I have enjoyed the product as well as it being an amazing blusher. It is one of my favorites to use already after a couple weeks of use, I may have to go back when it is finished to buy it again!
The price is reasonable and the packaging is amazing, I love the smooth black finish and the mirror inside which is handy to top up your make up. I have found that this blusher stays on well throughout the day due to it being highly pigmented which I so like as I don't want to look all patchy or anything while I am out and about. This product is defiantly one of my favorites this year and highly recommend it due to it being so perfect! I will defiantly be purchasing some more Sleek products from now on as well as reviewing my Sleek eye shadow palette soon!
