Blogging For 2 Years - My Knowledge Of The Blogging World So Far!

I started my blog in the summer just before my third year of university, I wanted to improve my writing skills so that I would not let myself down when it came to writing my 10 000 word dissertation. It generally did help me keep on top of writing my dissertation and without it I think I would have struggled, luckily I had amazing support and I really enjoyed my last year of university. There are more things that I have gained from the blogging community that I thought would never happen. When I started my blog I never expected anyone to read it, I know that sounds silly because I am posting on the internet but it just felt right to start one for me. I have always been interested in magazines, beauty and being creative is very important to me. Having my own space on the internet feels great and to have such amazing support from fellow bloggers, family and friends means so much to me.

I wanted to note down what I have gained from my two year blogging experience. I love my little blog and I enjoy reviewing products, doing lifestyle posts and soon I will be doing a few outfit posts. I enjoy mixing it up with all sorts of blog posts and it helps me feel more creative.

  • write for you!
  • enjoy blogging and don't let it feel like a chore.
  • I have gained more confidence through blogging.
  • Go to blog events because I have met so many amazing people through them.
  •  Blogging community is so supportive.
  • help each other out and collaborate. You don't need a YouTube channel to do this. Write blog posts for each other!
  • Don't feel pressure to buy all the latest products.
  • Use what you have to create posts, you don't need to go shopping every week. It would be nice to but we all know that won't be good for our bank balances.
  • Develop your own style of blogging.
  • Share the love!
  • Your blog is your space to grow.
  • Don't feel pressured to buy all the equipment. take time to grow!
  • Don't feel pressured to have thousands of followers, if you love your blog and enjoy what you do. your readers will too!
  • Do not judge yourself against what other bloggers are doing. :)
  • You meet amazing people.
  •  Don't feel afraid to go to blog events, tweet other bloggers and ask to meet up. I have done this and met such amazing people that I would love to see again.
  • Don't feel pressure to blog everyday, Do your own thing and set goals for yourself.
  • I do giveaways to say thank you to my readers, it means so much to me when I get a lovely comment or tweet telling me that they enjoyed a blog post.
I asked on Twitter what your advice was to other bloggers and what your experience has been whilst blogging. Here are a few that I love and if you would like to send me yours tweet me @kemples1 and I could do a full post for you.
