Mac - Studio Sculpt £25
This is my first ever Mac Cosmetics purchase, I have been meaning to buy some for a very long time. I think at first it was the price of the foundation that put me off but after trying the foundation out myself I find that it is worth the money. You only need a pea size amount to work it onto your skin. I use a small amount each time with my real Technique foundation brush until I am happy with the coverage. I find because it is a gel based foundation you won't need as much to cover your skin. My drugstore foundations I go through fast, I find that I buy at least a couple bottles every few months. I find with this mac foundation I could own this for at least 6 months due to the small amount that I have been using.
Its has a great coverage yet makes my skin look so healthy. Its the perfect match too which is always a great start, the lady in the Trafford Centre who colour matched me was super helpful. I know that this foundation is going to be a real treat every time I purchase it but so worth it. Even if you wore this foundation every day I still think in the long run you will save money. I am a huge drug store fan when it comes to make up but we all need a good treat now and then. I am so pleased with the finish of this foundation even my boyfriend noticed I had the Mac foundation on and said it looked great.
Its so easy to work with, the more you blend it in the better it looks. I find that a sponge and foundation brush work wonders when applying this foundation. I tend to keep this foundation for days out and work, I wear my drug store ones on the days off. I love that it has Spf 15 in it too for those lovely Summer days. I find it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated.
I find that this foundation sits well on my skin, it feels super light. I don't like heavy foundations that make me look caked in make up. This one creates a healthy glow to my skin which I love. I went for the shade NW20 which is the perfect shade to give me just that more coverage, I had the choice of a lighter one but with this one I can use less to build up the perfect coverage.
I wore this foundation on a really hot day in London, I used a tiny amount of Lauras before taking the plunge to buy my own. The stay of it was incredible, I had an event at six but we walked around London all day too. I was so impressed with the stay of this foundation, it lasted me all day long. I even had to run to catch my train home and it was fine. I am truly impressed by this foundation, I think I can say I am obsessed with Mac products now...
What should I purchase next time?

I like the MAC foundations, but also LOVE the Armani Luminous Silk ones. You can ask for a sample pot at their concession at Selfridges, definitely worth it :) x
ReplyDeleteI love MAC, but I have never bought the Studio Sculpt Foundation. However, after seeing your post I definitely now want to try it out! Love it!!!
