Last year I got myself out of bed at least 4 times a week to head to the gym but lately this has fallen to the back of my to do list. I want to get back into enjoying exercise and to make my general health better. All I have been doing lately that might count as exercise would be walking my dog around the park and streets. I came across a youtube channel that made me re think my exercise routine and how much I actually get moving. Its easy to get caught up in everyday life and forget to truly look after yourself.
This month I want to start a project for myself and I thought I would share this with you so that I feel a little bit more pressure to do it (good pressure) now that I have shared this idea with you it will encourage me to get up an hour earlier to do some fitness blender in my lounge.
I came across Fitness Blender on Youtube and this is what made me decided to get back into fitness. I want to be able to feel better about myself, this is not all about weight loss but also about just feeling good in general. Doing half an hour on the treadmill can do wonders for the glow of your skin too. Just before typing this blog post out I tried the 40 minute cardio hit workout, I already feel the amazing feeling you get after a good workout. I know I am going to get addicted to trying out all these videos, which is going to be a good thing. They are easy to follow and they really work on the areas you want. Each video so far has been great, I really enjoyed doing the leg slimming pilates. I want to be able to work on my legs more than anything, I also want to do a couple runs a week with my dog as well as cardio using these videos on my new yoga mat.
I also enjoy using the Blogilates app to do some work out sessions on the yoga mat. I love how there is options to work on certain areas of your body. These are easy to follow and keep up with, I need to write down my progress too which will help. You can also watch Blogilates on Youtube which is great, I put my laptop ready next to my yoga mat with some music from my phone and I am all set.
All you need to get started on a good work out routine is some decent trainers, this has made a huge difference for me. So much more control and its super comfy compared to wearing my old vans. A yoga mat which I got from Argos for £12, not too bad and it gives you something comfy to work out on. Some cute work out outfits which you can pick up from Primark, they have some great things in at the moment. I have some weights which are only light, they do the job though. After all some cute gym things will get you in the mood to go or work out in your lounge. I have a gym membership which will get a lot more use now, I love the classes and after I enjoy cooling down in the pool.
Please help me keep motivated and tell me off if I slip up with Get Fit September!
