Essie- Strut Your Stuff
Even weeks after the Cosmoplitan blog awards I still feel very lucky and happy to have been able to attend the awards. Being shortlisted has been a high light of my life, it feels amazing to be able to say this after two years of blogging. I was up for Best established beauty blog which feels surreal, so many bloggers I enjoy and adore have been up for this award. From just under 50 000 blogs to the top Ten in my category in the UK, crazy stuff.
I could not find the dress I wore online at the moment but if I do I will update you on the link here. I purchased my dress a week before the awards, I was trying to find the perfect dress for the night. For months I could not find a single dress but Rob pointed out this one on Asos and I instanly knew I had to have it. I enjoy wearing black and white, its got a flattering shape to it which is a huge bonus. I even decided to wear nude tights and this is a huge step for me. I really felt good in this dress, is that allowed to have been said out loud? I wanted to feel comfy so that I could truly enjoy the night. Nothing worse than hating your outfit all night long right?
This dress is something I would wear again, it won't be going to the back of my wardrobe. I love how the white and black meet, its a great dress. I really enjoyed wearing this dress and the whole getting ready process was exciting. I am not a great poser if I am honest but i wanted to be able to do some sort of outfit post to share with you. Today I finally got internet installed into my new home which means I will be back on blogging top form.
I wore my all time favourite nail polish on the night. Which is by Essie and its called Strut your stuff, I am in love with the colour. I dressed up my outfit with gold jewelry from H&M. My shoes, these are amazing shoes but shoes that I should have worn in before the event. I twisted my ankle and I could not walk at points during the night. This is nothing to do with the shoe though, it was my own fault but honestly I love them. I love the pretty tie up detail on the front, one of the best pairs of heels I have ever purchased. I love how they go with this outfit, yet again this was the boyfriends find. These heels are from Next, i got these two days before heading to London because yet again i was trying to find the perfect shoe. These are what I wanted and would not change a thing about them, well maybe I should have worn them in but thank you to the lovely ladies on the night helping me get through the pain. Sometimes the pain is worth it when the heels are so pretty!!
Keep an eye out for more posts coming soon about London and the make up I used..
What do you think of my outfit?
