Whats On My Book Shelf / Giveaway.

This year one of my goals was to read more, I think I have well and truly done this. I know I could read more but with working full time, blogging and life I only manage a chapter or two a night if possible. In this post I am going to go through all the books I have read, the new ones to my collection and I have to say all of the above I recommend.

Gone Girl was the first book out of my top five books to read, it was one of the best thrillers I have ever read. The film was no let down either, I really enjoyed it. I made my my mom the book and we watched the film together and she said the same. It is based on a wife going missing and the husband played by Ben Affleck being the main suspect. If you love thrillers, this is a book for you. It has so many twists and turns to keep you gripped. I read this book within the week, I could not put it down. A book similar to Gone Girl is the Girl On The Train which is a fantastic read, I am waiting for the film to come out. It holds you in and its one of those books you don't want to out down.
If you have watched the film Me Before You you will know this is the second book to it. I didn't get chance to read the first before watching the film. I cried like a baby at this film, it must have been the Ed Sheeran Songs that did it. It is a beautiful story of a girl called Lou who finally finds a good job but its not what she expected, it changes her life. This is the second book to it and it goes on to explain what happens after. I don't want to give too much away, it is a brilliant film/ book.

I am very excited about the Potion Diaries and the Royal Tour books being part of my collection. I was a huge fan of The Princess Diaries and I feel this has that sort of vibe, they are easy to read and enjoyable. I feel this would make a wonderful film, its alight hearted teen adventure with some amazing twists. The princess accidentally poisons herself with a love potion, she then falls in love with her own reflection. It is now time to find the cure before its too late. Its a wonderful book to read, I am obsessed with the idea of potions and things because of Harry Potter. It is a fun read that takes your mind into a different, magical world. I am excited to start reading Royal Tour and I will keep you updated on how I get on with it. As you may know The Potion Diaries are in the Zoella book club in WHsmiths, here is the link the Royal Tour*.

If you want to watch the trailer for the book here is the link for that too.
