Why I Took A Break From blogging!

Why do I blog, a question to ask yourself now and again to keep you on your blogging path, keep you focused on your aim. There are so many other blogs to compare yourself to but the main aim is to enjoy them and compliment them, never compare yourself. In 2016 I learnt that this little blog is my space on the internet, to type about everything I love such as beauty and my life. From this I I took with me into 2017, a space to be proud of, to feel creative. which brings me to say to you that you should be proud of yourself too. It is hard not to compare yourself but I think it would be a boring place if we all had the same content right?

My confidence from 2016 played a huge part of me taking a break this year, I forgot how to love anything, myself, the things I enjoy and I neglected my life. Being stuck in a bubble of anxiety can do some real damage to yourself and you feel like no one cares. In 2017 I came to realise that was all in my head, if people didn't like me then so be it. I decided to become more confident, I wanted to become a nicer person and really engage with the world. My eyes have been opened to so many new things, I kept myself in a bubble over the last few years and this year I feel like thats popped.
Having a new found confidence has changed my outlook on life, I now decide to just say the things I want to say and do things that make me happy. I have made some amazing friends just by opening up a little more, deciding to go on nights out and truly just let go. I am working on this more as the days go by.

My blog has been my rock for almost 7 years now and I want to continue this amazing journey, enjoying what I write and doing it for the love of it. Sitting here at one in the morning typing feels amazing, even though tomorrow I know I will feel tired. I am planning on coming back with my beauty posts very soon. My photography means so much to me and I miss being creative, it makes me feel relaxed.

Blogging for me has to come from the heart, if it doesn't I take a step back. Thats why its been almost 5 months since my last post. My personal life took a hit but I don't want to go into that because that is still taking time to fix and hopefully for the better. Still so many amazing things happened this year and I am so happy they did, it gave me the confidence to live a more happy and confident life.

Its all about the small things in life, taking time to appreciate it and taking joy in the every day. Reading a good book, passing an exam you never thought you could, someone hugging you for no reason, a smile, watching your favourite film, buy the sexy underwear. The small things to me mean so much and Im taking time to appreciate it.

I may take too many selfies but for me this is a confidence boost, I cannot explain to you why but it works. I feel if I have a bad day I can scroll down my Instagram and remind myself to smile, to appreciate things and never give up on myself because trust me I am so hard on myself. Im my own worse enemy and this year so much of that has changed due to just taking time to do my make up or taking 100 selfies with my dogs. Whatever makes you happy do it.

so over the next couple months I hope to be back blogging and with all my heart again. This little space means the world to me and I am very proud of it. I want to continue growing as a person because its about dam time I did and enjoyed my life. Let me know what you would like to see on my blog and I will see you very soon....

Thank you for still being here and supporting me!

Products I Am Loving Right Now.

Over the past couple months I have been testing out new products and trying to apply my make up well so it looks flawless. I was starting to look ill or tired most of the time towards the end of 2016 so I decided to up my make up game. By doing this people have started to notice a good change and I feel better in myself. Starting with good/ freshly waxed eye brows is a great way to look fresher.  I feel if your eye brows look good so does most of your make up, it sets you off to a good day ahead. I have been using a few new products and I wanted to share them with you.
This Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow* foundation (£40*) is some what of a treat for me, I am very lucky to be able to try this out. I must admit I am a huge drug store foundation girl but we all have to have one that is a treat to wear. This foundation leaves my skin glowing and looking blemish free, perfect for the Spring make up looks. It glides on smoothly and blends in really easy, I am loving using it. It has spa 30 in it which is fab and the pipet allows you to apply enough onto your skin without waste. Overall a great foundation to use and great for my new make up routine. Lord and Berry is a brand I have been loving recently and this lip crayon is stunning, it applies well and doesn't dry out on your lips. I am obsessed with the shade, perfect Spring lip product.
When pay days rolls around I am purchasing the full size of the Too Faced Better than sex mascara, it is by far one of the best mascaras out there and I am a big fan of testing out many. It gives my eyes the lift they need and leave the lashes nice and dark. It doesn't clump or budge after a long day at work. My Bagsy bronzer is the perfect way to brighten up my skin, giving it the glow it needs.
My perfume of choice this year has to be Kiss by Rihanna, the scent is just perfect for me. Nice and sweet which is great for the Spring months heading our way, the perfume has hints of plum. I adore the packaging but this is by far one of the best perfume I have ever owned, read my full review here.
My concealers of choice has to be the trusty one by Collection and a new favourite of mine by Soap and Glory. They work perfectly together to brighten up under my eyes and hide any spots away from the world. Overall I have enjoyed applying my make up this year, it has changed the way my skin looks and how I feel during the day. Nothing worse than after a few hours you feel like you look exhausted and dull at work.

What have you been loving?

My Self Care Resolutions For 2017.

Over the past few years I have put my self care to the back of my mind and I let everything else come first. My dogs are a huge part of my life and they always come before me, my relationship came before me and as you can imagine the list goes on. In the new year I had a change of mind, I noticed in January how I wasn't happy with how I treated myself and I knew this had to change. So 2017 is all about feeling me again and I wanted to share with you my resolutions for this and it would help remind myself what my goal is.

My Body

This year I have managed to sort out my diet, it is all about moderation and still enjoying what you eat. I have made small changes in my diet, not eating as much chocolate has made a big impact already. I feel so much more confident in myself and I want to continue the road by joining a gym and walking/ running with my dogs. Em Sheldon blog is a huge inspiration to me, her body is goals. This is going to be a work in progress and I want to look back in a years time and be proud of myself. I want to fill my body with food that makes me feel good with the odd treat.

Prioritise things that bring me joy

I want to work on the things that make me happy, such as my dogs and my blog. I have taken a step back from my blog recently to get my head into order and I feel it has been a necessary break to really understand where I want to take my blog next. Over the last five years all I thought about was my next blog post, taking this time out has made me realise I need to really focus on the right content. Moving forward I want to incorporate my goals such as joining the gym and sharing this on my blog. My blog is my rock and it brings out my creative side which helps my mind.

prioritising what makes me happy is really important this year, I don't care what everyone else has to say because if it makes me happy so what. I lived my life in a bubble the past few years, it is time for a change and a new me.

Declutter

I need to get rid of so many things that are all over the house, I need my surroundings to be tidy so that I can think and it really helps my attitude towards the day ahead. I'm not going to go into detail why I have decided to look after me and why I feel I need to be selfish this year but its helping me change so any heartache I'm going through is pushing me to be a better person. Who knows how long it would have taken otherwise, so I am seeing most things as a positive and moving forward.

Recently you may have realised I end up taking more selfies or snap chatting away but for me I am just trying to be more confident and it seems to work. I want to document when I feel good so that when I have a bad day I can look back and see I am strong and that its just one day I feel awful. Losing the weight I hate is helping by documenting when I feel good and the stages it is taking. So when I feel like giving up I can remind myself how far I have come already.

In 2017 I want to learn more and progress at work, it is something I am really interested in. I want to go on adventures and laugh with people I love. Over the past year or so all Ive done is live in a bubble and I hid away from the world. This year I want to really enjoy my 20s and try new things.

My Top 3 Spring Make Up Pieces.

Its been a while since my last blog post, I could tell you all the reasons why I took time out but it really is complicated but whats come from this is me feeling more confident and a fresh out look on my blog/life. I am back for now feeling more positive about blogging again and hopefully about myself too. Starting blogging again with a photo of my face has been daunting but I have enjoyed typing away on here again. Feeling much happier looking after myself and this means my make up game needed to be upped. I am loving all the lighter, sunnier days and Spring is my favourite time of the year. I wanted to share with you three make up pieces I have been obsessed with this month, this is my go to make up look for everyday.

Better Than Sex is one of the best mascaras I have ever used, it makes my lashes bold, dark and looking fab. I enjoy this mascara from Too Faced and I need it in the full size asap before this one runs out. This mascara is ideal if you want really dark lashes, I am really fussy when it comes to mascaras. My eyes have to stand out and the darker the better.
Kick Ass concealer by Soap & Glory has to be one of the best cover up products out there. I have been using this for well over two months now and its almost used up. I need to buy a new one to cover up all my marks on my skin for a fresh flawless finish after using the Lasting Finish foundation by Rimmel. Rimmel do the best foundations in my opinion, they never let me down and it is my go to foundation for my everyday look. It lasts all day at work without budging and creates a flawless finish ready for the Spring.

I can tell I am out of my usual blog style and photography but I will be back ready to smash blogging again. It is my rock and I know I need to up my game with it, you will be seeing more of me on here again soon. Bring on the lighter and warmer nights.

New Perfume Launch, Perfect For Valentines Day.

As I sit here listening to a Valentines Day Spotify playlist, I wanted to share with you a new perfume launch. I have been quiet on the blog front but I am hoping to be back now and smash it, my blog is a huge passion of mine and I never want to forget that. So thank you for being so lovely about it. I am super excited to share with you this new perfume, it smells incredible and it is my perfect scent.
Lets start with the packaging, it is simple yet so beautiful. Rihanna designed this herself and it runs really well alongside her other perfume launches. The powder blue is my favourite colour so instantly I was drawn to it when I opened it. The gold cap is perfection and it looks amazing alongside all my other perfumes. I have a large collection of perfumes but this bottle really stands out. The bottle is elegant and simple which I love when it comes to perfume designs.
Kiss By Rihanna £40*

The scent itself is subtle, with hints of floral which is my favourite type. It is a light hearted, feminine scent with hints of plum. This is a perfect Spring/  Summer scent, I know it will be one I use in the warmer months too. This is the 100ml bottle but you can get the 30ml bottle too which retails at £23. I am obsessed with the bottle design and it looks stunning on my dressing table, this would make a great Valentines day gift or a Mothers Day gift which will soon be here.

I hope you get lots of kisses this Valentines Day!
